Edge-compute gateways purpose-built for energy telemetry
EC.Node is the industrial IoT gateway that connects field instrumentation — revenue meters, sub-meters, VFDs, chiller controllers, BMS trunks, and environmental sensors — to the EC.DATA cloud. It supports Modbus RTU over RS-485, Modbus TCP, BACnet, M-Bus, DLMS/COSEM, and a growing list of vendor-specific protocols. Browse the device catalogue for the full compatibility matrix.
Each gateway runs a hardened Linux stack with a local time-series store so telemetry is never lost during WAN outages: readings are cached on local flash and replayed to the cloud once connectivity restores. Backhaul can be Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or cellular (LTE-M / NB-IoT) with automatic failover between the primary and secondary path. Telemetry feeds EC.EMS, EC.BMS, and EC.PQ with no additional plumbing.
Security is end-to-end: every gateway has a unique device identity, mutual TLS to the MQTT broker, signed over-the-air firmware updates, and no inbound ports open to the Internet. Deployment in the field takes a technician under 30 minutes per gateway, with the Solution Design Studio producing the wiring diagram and register map ahead of time.
